Tillmouth Village Hall was opened in May 1955. It replaced “The Hut”, a wooden structure which was built in 1928 and used by the local community. The village hall is unique, due to there being no village at Tillmouth just a scattering of houses nearby. There are outstanding views of the Cheviot hills and surrounding countryside.
About Us
Inside the main door is the entrance hall, to the left the ladies cloakroom and toilet, right is the disabled toilet and gents’ toilet. A portable ramp can be used at the main door, and also a wooden ramp leading to the side entrance.
The main hall can comfortably seat up to 100 people, ideal for parties and weddings. The main hall can accomodate an inflated bouncy castle for children’s parties.
The stage is raised with lighting, underneath there is storage and housing for the full-size billiard table. The kitchen has a large modern range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge and an ample supply of crockery and cutlery.
Adjoining the kitchen is a smaller room ideal for meetings. A serving hatch opens into the main hall.
An active recreation club meets on Monday evenings, there are carpet bowls and a marked badminton court.
We also have a paddock that can be hired along with the hall plus a large free car parking area is available.
